Okay, okay. I’m done gushing about how great Oklahoma is for hang gliding, let’s get into what you’re really here for. These are the best hang gliding locations in the state.
Oklahoma City
If you're planning a trip to the state of Oklahoma, you might as well start by spending some time in its capital, Oklahoma City. The views from atop OKC are simply stunning. You'll see panoramic views of the cityscape below, as well as the surrounding countryside.
The weather is usually perfect for hang gliding in spring and summer, with temperatures in the mid-80s. However, fall and winter can be a bit chilly, so you might want to pack a jacket. As the temperatures get down to the 50s and 60s during the day (and even colder through the night), it can be a bit too cold to enjoy your time in the air.
The city is home to a number of attractions, including the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum. The memorial commemorates the victims of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Oklahoma City.
